That's a wrap: New burrito shop opens

That's a wrap: New burrito shop opens

By PATRICK DAVIS

The new kid on Big Sky's food block is not your typical sit-down restaurant.

The Wrap Shack is Big Sky's first, and, in the minds of many, long overdue burrito shop. The Wrap Shack, which is located in the Westfork Meadows next to Milkie's, focuses on offering fast, healthy and affordable options for people on the go.

But the rollie-polie eatery isn't just for lunch breaks; the Wrap Shack also has late-night munchies. The Shack is open seven days a week, and the joint starts rolling at 11 a.m. and stays open until 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Wrap Shack is open until 8 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.

Locally owned and operated, the Wrap Shack was started by three friends: Josie Bolane, Lindsie Feldner and Jason Luchini.

"We decided after four years of ski bumming it was time to do something serious," Bolane said.

Customers call the shots at the Wrap Shack and can order one of the Shack's specialty burritos or build their own from scratch, choosing every item that goes into a burrito, from white or wheat tortillas to pinto or veggie black beans to a variety of meats, sauteed vegetables and fixings. Each one of the six salsas offered by the Wrap Shack is homemade from scratch with fresh ingredients.

In addition to its burritos and salad wraps, the Wrap Shack also offers a children's menu, and the owners are hoping to receive a liquor license within the next month.

The Wrap Shack History

The Wrap Shack started rolling ‘em fat in the summer of 2004, when three friends--Josie Bolane, Jason Luchini and Lindsie Feldner-- decided Big Sky would be a better place with a restaurant that serves fast, fresh, healthy and affordable food.

We pride ourselves on making our sauces and salsas from scratch and using only the freshest ingredients in everything we make. Our aim is to provide the community with a menu that is completely original, different and exciting.

We have a special almost every day and are quickly becoming a hit with the locals. Stop by and see for yourself why the Wrap Shack is so popular. Thanks for choosing us and let us know if we can make your experience any more enjoyable. Cheers!
