Trans World Snowboarding Magazine

The Wrap Shack was listed in Trans World Snowboarding Magazine as the place to eat in Big Sky! The March '08 issue has a regional report about riding in Southwest Montana.
Every mountain town needs a good burrito joint, and the Wrap Shack is Big Sky's. It's owned by some of the nicest ski bums-turned-business owners in Big Sky and as their slogan touts, they "roll 'em fat." They also pour a mean margarita. Oh, and grab a couple of the raspberry bars or a slice of banana bread on the way up to the hill and you won't have to stop for lunch.
We couldn't agree more. Thanks Liam!

The Wrap Shack will be serving up tasty food and cold beverages at all of the Arts Council's Thursday night concerts this summer.

The menu will include BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Ground Beef Tacos, assorted chips, candy, and cookies. Plus our famous Margaritas on the rocks, Heineken, Miller Lite, and PBR.

All proceeds from the food sales will go to the Early Childhood Enrichment Fund.

Check out the great summer schedule.

So come by on Thursdays for great music and great food!

Dummy Jump Results

We sad to say that after the countless hours put into this Dummy, when the time came The Smokin' Gringo Dummy failed to make it over the jump. He caught an edge on the takeoff ramp and broke his pelvis. It was a crushing blow to us all. But he did very well in the pre-jump photo shoots.

Check out some of the other competitors from Big Sky Resort's annual Dummy Jump.

The team has learned a lot from our first round of Dummy Jumping, and is determined to come back next year with flying colors (literally).

The Smokin' Gringo will be launched off a huge kicker for Big Sky Resort's annual Dummy Jump. We have high hopes for our inaugural entry in this competition.

Check back tomorrow for results from the big day.

Best of Big Sky Awards

The Wrap Shack racked up some great awards for The Big Sky Weekly's Best of Big Sky Summer '06. Locals voted us the "Best Take-Out" and also the "Best Value for Your Buck". We were runner up for "Best Margarita".

Here's what the Weekly said:

Best value for your buck: Where else can you get a wrap the size of West Virginia and still have enough cash left over from your $10 for a large soda, a generous tip and some pocket change to add to the piggy bank?

Best take-out: Quality, convenience and price made this the favorite. It only takes a few minutes from the time you place your order until you pick it up even when there's a line out the door.

Thanks to everyone who vote!! We're gonna take "Best Margarita" next year! Just watch!

Chili Cookoff '06

The Wrap Shack entered Big Sky's Chili Cookoff again this summer. Lindsie, defending last year's 1st & 2nd Place wins, created two chilis: "The Fiery Gates of Hell Buffalo Chili" and "The Roasted Vegetable & Chorizo Chili Verde".

After some vote counting confusion, The Wrap Shack took 2nd Place overall, Best in Show, and was 1 vote away from the People's Choice Award. Another banner year for Lindsie and her chilis.

Look for Lindsie's chili & soup creations starting this fall once the temps start to drop at the Wrap Shack.

Business of the Year!!

The Wrap Shack has been voted as The Business of the Year from the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce. Announced at the Chamber's annual meeting, this huge honor came as quite a shock to all of us. We couldn't be happier. We've worked hard to create good business and local establishment, and the response has been tremedous!

So thank you Big Sky for coming in everyday & making our dreams come true.

Summer '06

We're into our summer hours (11a - 9p), and the Wrap Shack is going strong. With the fastest service in town, it's still the place to be at lunchtime. But now that the weather has turned warm the after work Margarita crowd on the deck is hopping! Come down and get one of our world famous frozen margs.

Wedding Bells

The Wrap Shack will be closed the last two weeks in May to celebrate Jason & Maggie's wedding!! On May 27th, 2006 Jason & Maggie will get hitched in Charlottesville, VA. This will be the longest closed period the Shack has ever had; But what a good reason!!

We will reopen the first week of June with Lindsie & Josie at the helm, while Jason is basking in Puerto Rico!! But don't feel too bad for the girls, they will have just returned from surfing & sunning in Mexico.
